New York and Company

Director of Design Woven Product
February 2009-November 2011

I led a four-person team encompassing woven shirts, outerwear, casual woven bottoms, and all denim. For those categories, I created concepts, palettes, and fabric boards for 50 deliveries annually. Re-launched the entire denim category, taking the business from 46 million to 54 million in one year. I re-directed the design, merchandising, production, and marketing teams by reworking all fits, fabrics, washes, and production strategies through bi-annual trips to laundries throughout Asia and Central America. The executive committee chose me to lead the “Critical Few Initiatives” team, which focused on growing the company's pants business. I completed a year-long “Essentials of Leadership” course designed by the Bluepoint Leadership Development Co.
