Last Friday night the lovely ladies at Prim Communications invited me to a preview of the opening of the Mirus Gallery over in the Golden Triangle. I was lucky enough to get my gal pal Danette Stuckey to come along with me for the evening. It all worked out perfectly to hop on over to the William Havu Gallery to see Danette's friend Amy Metier's show opening as well. It was such a fun night and I was glad to see some friendly faces at both openings. I'm super intrigued by the Mirus Gallery concept. A workspace/ coffee shop/ gallery AND night club? If I had the option to work or dance..... Hmmmmmmmmm.
After the Mirus Gallery, we walked over to the William Havu Gallery to see Amy's opening, which was stunning. Her paintings are beautiful and the gallery was packed, spilling out to the street. It was such a beautiful night that we even got to peek out into the sculpture garden behind the gallery and see the adorable townhomes that back up onto the garden. It reminded me of the cute little mews all over Europe and New York that would make me dream of a "Sliding Doors" life. Be sure to check out her show, it is at the gallery for a while. Of course, the perfect gallery hop night in Denver with Danette concludes with dinner at Tavernetta with all the bells and whistles. Turns out you can snag a table last minute when you are hanging with a Stuckey! Thanks to Danette for hanging with me and everyone for inviting us out! Now I REALLY can't wait for warmer weather.
