A snapshot of a few events around town as well as a look at some of our coolest neighbors. If you'd like to contribute, get in touch with me directly (see my info at who/what/why), I'd love to collaborate!
Last weekend I had such a great time checking out the Crush Walls in RiNo. Once again, I’m so excited and impressed with whats happening in and around Denver. This year’s Crush Walls was exponentially bigger than the previous ones I’ve attended. It was particularly amazing to see Laura Krudener painting the exterior of her gallery.
If you don’t already know Rachel Lefort, let me introduce you to her! She is one of my dearest friends, my neighbor and an incredibly talented stylist with a long history in the fashion industry. Rachel has recently been hand selected as one of Denver’s top stylists and has partnered with Cherry Creek for their ongoing styling sessions.
A few weeks ago, I had the good fortune of meeting blogger Cara Newhart from Never Skip Brunch and founder of My Haute Society, at a tasting event. She has recently launched a podcast on her site and asked me to come on and do an interview for the podcast about my background and experience as a fashion designer.
Hey Allison! Thanks for sitting down with me and chatting about the Mama'hood mission, the store and your plans! For my readers that don’t know, I’m a mom to two boys, so when the opportunity to interview the founders of this amazing resource came my way, I was happy to dive in.
Last Thursday I had the good fortune of attending the Metta Society Denver mingle with my gal pal Courtney Parker. It was such a gorgeous summer evening and the event was filled with amazing women interested business, as the theme was The Art of Starting a Business.
Kathryn! Thank you so much for doing this interview with me. You have been one of the earliest and the most persistent supporters of anniebloj, ever since I mentioned it as an idea last summer. Your Friday night texts of…”If ONLY there was a site I could go to to find out what was was going on around town tonight!!!” were always very motivational.
I had such a great time out at the Untitled Friday at the DAM with Birdy Magazine last week. There were so many events lined up just for this one night, it was so well done. Unfortunately I wasn't able to stay very long and my spies didn't get the best pictures. SO, instead of adding a pic of her dog instead (her suggestion), I would just say that TRUST ME, it was a good time!
Last Friday night the lovely ladies at Prim Communications invited me to a preview of the opening of the Mirus Gallery over in the Golden Triangle. I was lucky enough to get my gal pal Danette Stuckey to come along with me for the evening.
I had the good fortune to snag a ticket to the Recycled Runway 9 fundraiser at the Boulder Theater on the 10th. It was sooooo great- so much talent from such young people! I was totally inspired by the thought process, creativity and the final product that these young designers each put together.
