Purplish: Inside CPR's Podcast

  • The Denver Press Club 1330 Glenarm Place Denver, CO, 80204 United States (map)

Colorado Public Radio news reporter Sam Brasch set out to answer one question when he started his "Purplish" podcast: Is Colorado still a famously "purple" state, or has it become more red, more blue, or something else? Along the way, he and a team of CPR contributors traveled across Colorado -- learning about everything from gerrymandering to voting rights to the personal histories of Colorado's major-party candidates for governor. Spoiler alert: One of them won.

In the wake of the 2018 election, and on the eve of the first day of the 2019 legislative session, join Brasch and CPR editor Megan Verlee in a panel discussion about how they made Purplish, what they learned about Colorado, and what the 2018 election means for the future of the state and its people.

Oh, and they'll talk about how to pronounce the word "Purplish," too. Social hour from 5:30 to 6:30pm. Panel begins at 6:30pm. Open to the public!
