Flowers of Evil
Award-winning jazz pianist and composer Annie Booth premieres a compelling, genre-bending work, Flowers of Evil. Based on the beautifully dark poetry collection of one of the greatest 19th century French poets, Charles Baudelaire, this program will feature mixed media and a fusion of jazz and classical instrumentation, taking you on a musical journey filled with sonic landscapes that match the complexity of Baudelaire’s work.
Performers joining Annie for this modern jazz world premiere are Kathryn Radakovich, Anisha Rush, John Gunther, Brad Goode, Adam Bartczak, Adrienne Short, Kari Clifton, Patrick McDevitt, and Alejandro Castaño.
